What we do
UNISON is the UK's largest healthcare trade union. Of our 1.3 million members, over 400,000 work in the NHS and for private contractors providing NHS services.
Our health members include nurses, student nurses, midwives, health visitors, healthcare assistants, paramedics, housekeeping staff, porters, catering staff, medical secretaries, clerical and admin staff and scientific and technical staff.
Our local branch supports over 2400 members across more than 180 locations in East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Hampshire, Kent and South London, working for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
We represent our members in many ways, offering help and advice at work, raising your professional/local concerns or by highlighting issues that will affect all our workers in the Trust. We work together to make sure our members' concerns are heard - whether it is about pay and conditions, health and safety, job security within consultations or discrimination.
We actively take part in leading locally on national issues campaigning against the Health Care Bill and fighting to protect our pensions.
With local stewards, health & safety reps, Branch Officers and Staff Side Leads offering support and working behind the scenes, UNISON Sussex Partnership is a force for you at work.
We Are UNISON: Your friend at work.
